Appearance: Riza, standing at 5’6”, is what can be best described as an average type of beauty. Her hair, often pinned up and deceptively short looking, is a golden shade of blonde of which is the crowning glory on the top of a no-nonsensical package. Her skin, a slightly tanned shade of alabaster from being outside, contrasts well with the almond-colored eyes. Often, she is seen variating between glasses and contacts to maintain stable eyesight. Her lips, non-painted most of the time, are often curved downwards to give her an image of being stoic and unapproachable, even if this is not truly the case. She is dressed for the utmost success and also for comfort, dressing in a manner most would deem as casual.

Personality: Riza Hawkeye, if looked up in a thesaurus, would also relate to being no-nonsense, calm, and collected. Very little perturbs her and it shows in her average appearance. Upon first sight, an individual may be lead to believe there is very little that gets under her skin, and that very much is true. In fact, there is only one proven method of getting her temper riled: Roy Mustang. He is the only person able to rouse the sleeping giant of her temper mostly due to her promise to her patriarch to protect him and look after him, not to mention the fact his own personality greatly clashes with her own.

However, this isn’t to say Riza is only a stone-cold woman incapable of feelings other than aloof and reserved. She is more than capable of feeling compassion and expresses it (albeit, not exactly completely freely) towards younger individuals, most animals, and the injured. It is common for her to express her compassion in a quiet way, often nursing the injured back to health, watching over the youthful, and taking in any animals. However, these are often done in her own way in which she rejects any sense of sensitivity and prefers to go the serious route; however, it often results in a positive effect.

Riza is also exceedingly polite, preferring to refer to people as formally as possible. Even when professors allow students to call them by given name, she still refers to them by title and family name. This quirk in her personality has been ingrained with her for some time and is very unlikely to be broken except in certain circumstances where she is attempting to be warmer or more cordial.

History: Riza, the first and only daughter of the Hawkeye family, was born to a family of educationally-obsessed parents. Both her mother and father were very interested in folklore and mythology and researched it into how it played into the world around them. However, early on, she would be without a feminine influence in her life as her mother passed away at an early age. Although she was young, Riza took on many of the tasks of the household and became more independent, as her father was often busy teaching classes on his learned myths and passed on his knowledge to his daughter.

Despite this, her father was her last trace of known family for her. Unfortunately, neither parent had invested in procuring an ideal future for their daughter; it was after her father took on a subject he learned of an advanced terminal illness which claimed his life when Riza was in her young teens that she was to live alone. Working a part-time job in addition to high school, she managed to handle doing well enough to get onwards to college.
